Michael is of Jemez Pueblo decent and at a young age, it was certain that he was to become an artist. He is a self taught artist creating works in various mediums. From acrylic on canvas to intricate freehand mat cut designs, he infuses his cultural interpreted designs of spiritual symbolism into every single piece.

Michael has also dabbled into creating pop-culture iconic figures and infusing them with cultural symbolism of design.
